I have a new client who is a business owner with $250k+ due in payroll taxes. Son is the manager and I will be dealing with him more than the business owner. I feel that since the son is not an officer of the business, that in order to speak with him about the case, I need some type of signed documentation from the business owner. Is there pre-made form I can use for this? or do I simply create a generic form to have clients sign in instances like this?
Michelle, I dont have a form but would ask in email that the owner reply band confirm you have his express permission to deal with the son. I would also copy the owner on any correspondence or email you send with the son.
